James is the founder of Point of Departure: Houston’s Classical Music Variety Show, debuting in fall 2026.

Point of Departure: Houston’s Classical Music Variety Show is a new series of thematic concerts presenting classical(ish!) solo piano music, chamber music, and small ensemble pieces in a classic 70’s variety show-style setting. Think Cher Show meets lecture-recital, hip meets intellectual.
