Listen, Explore, Grow! A Concert for Children at the Houston Public Library

Join us for an hour-long concert created especially for children! The concert will begin with short readings in English and Spanish from Platero y Yo, the short story of a man and his best friend Platero, a donkey! Musical versions of these short stories by composer Sandrine Erdely-Sayo will then be played by pianist James Palmer. With fun props and interactive moments throughout the show, children will have chances to participate and connect directly with the performers. This lively concert introduces young audiences to the joy of music and its unique power to express feelings, spark creativity, and bring people together.

Featuring mezzo soprano Sarah Dyer and clarinetist Julian Hernandez.
