Assemblage for Three Pianos
Performance at MATCH Houston curated by Tony Barilla, who describes it:
“This is a performance art piece celebrating all the kinds of music that come out of Houston. Multiple pianists perform tiny variations of pieces based on music by local punk bands, chamber music composers, hip hop artists, r’n’b singers, etc, and all of them are playing at the same time so that these pieces will layer and overlap and create new harmonies and dissonances. The audience can come and go at any point during the performance, and will get to sit in and among the performers: it will be something between a concert and a “happening” or “situationist” spectacle.”
